Aplastic Anemia

I have been going to Dr. Hetzel for 5 months, receiving NMT treatments for aplastic anemia, and appreciate all of his help. I was taking cyclosporine and now have been off of it for 3 months.

For the last year-and-a-half, I have been getting blood transfusions every 8 weeks when my hemoglobin level got down in the very low 8s or 7s. I have not had a transfusion for almost 11 weeks and my blood test yesterday was 9.3 hemoglobin. My husband and I are thrilled beyond words!
