Releif from Lactose Intolerance

I am forty seven at the present time. I was introduced to Dr. Salvador “Sal” Aleguas in September of 2007. Dr. Aleguas treated me for headaches and muscle tension and fatigue with great success. Since September of 2007 I have also seen Sal for hip pain, lower back disc herniation and toenail fungus and all have been treated with equal success.

To the best of my knowledge I have been lactose intolerant for thirty three years and asked Dr.Aleguas in April of 2008 if there was anything that could be done for my food allergy. Dr. Aleguas informed me that allergies were treatable with NMT and acupuncture. I scheduled an appointment for a Monday morning and was treated for the lactose intolerance with a follow-up appointment scheduled for the following Friday at which time I was invited to bring any dairy products I desired to test.

I have had a variety of reactions to all dairy products as is the norm with those of use that are (or have been) lactose intolerant. I had reached the point that I was taking twelve “Lactaid Ultra” ® digestive enzymes in order to eat two slices of pizza or have ice cream but never at the same time. Consumption of dairy was always very limited.

After my Monday morning appointment with Dr. Aleguas I met my family for lunch where I ordered a large salad. When the salad arrived it had shredded cheddar cheese on top. Normally I would have downed six “Lactaid Ultra” ® to be able to tolerate the cheese however, I decided to “risk” the ill effects and to my astonishment there were none. I ate with my normal air of caution for the remainder of the week and kept my appointment for Friday morning with Dr. Aleguas. As instructed I arrived with a pint of whole milk and a block of cheddar cheese holding off on the Ice cream. While at Dr. Aleguas’ office I drank more than four ounces of the whole milk and ate more than two ounces of the cheddar cheese with no effects whatsoever. The following Sunday was the beginning of our 25th anniversary trip to San Francisco and the wine country of Napa Valley where I was able to eat cheeses, ice creams and for the first time had real cream in my coffee and could do so all during the same meal without the aid of one single digestive enzyme tablet.
