Freedom from Singulair and Allegra

I came to Dr. Kane for allergies. A client had said Dr. Kane had cured her of dog allergies and I was at the point of desperation -- willing to give anything a go if it worked. Over the past 10 years or so, hay fever that I experienced as a child had worsened to the point where I was on a daily dose of Singulair and Allegra year round. I had also been told by my allergist last summer that I was pre-asthmatic, with my lungs in notable distress and that shots were my only alternative. I would experience an itchy throat through most of the year but during March, April and May, my whole system would react: my eyes were puffy, red and itchy -- I could not wear contact lenses for more than an hour at best. My sinuses were congested and I was constantly asked if I had a cold, sometimes my face appeared swollen and of course, my throat would drive me insane with the itching. My allergies were totally disruptive to my life affecting all aspects including exercising.

I admit I was the consummate skeptic when I arrived at Dr. Kane's office. My treatment was like nothing I have ever experienced, but I had great respect for my client and decided I had to let Dr. Kane do his thing. Dr. Kane was very reassuring and felt I could be cured. He addressed my nutrition, recommended supplements and sent informative emails. He gave me at-home remedies to carry out, and in the office seemed to listen to my body and its responses with a series of pushes and noting of muscle reflexes. It is nothing I can easily explain. This was my first foray into an alternative medical approach and I have been stunned by the results.

Beginning at about visit 3, I noticed that my symptoms were much less intense and I stopped taking the Allegra. At about visit 5 I stopped taking the Singulair. Insanely, if I am honest, I continued to feel skeptical and to try to rationalize the results in other ways -- perhaps allergy season was less intense this year, or maybe it was delayed -- but as the people around me started to show symptoms and complain of them, a light bulb went off and I realized I no longer was reacting to pollen. Without the backdrop of constant allergic symptoms, I was able to notice I got an itchy throat whenever I drank white wine. Dr. Kane had me bring in the wine, take a sip and with the wine in my body, was able to alter my allergic response in one session.

I no longer have symptoms from wine and for the past 2 months have had no allergic symptoms to anything else. This has been an amazing journey for me -- a proof that another kind of approach to medical symptoms can work. It has opened up a whole new world for me.

In addition to my allergy relief, my nutrition has improved as I realize the direct effects of what goes into my body. My stress level is down as I have become more respectful of what my body seems to need. I think I am just more aware of its needs and can now listen for them more.

Dr. Kane has changed my life through these few short weeks. If he sensed my skepticism, he never let on. To have had this kind of relief so quickly, has been my own little miracle -- one which I still can't believe. I am so grateful for the results and to Dr. Kane.
